Here are summaries of just two of our highly successful Prevention & Education Programs. We invite you to contact us to discuss how we may work together to produce more life-changing projects such as these.

Guggenheim Entertainment recently completed "The Genesis Project", a collaborative effort with the Tri-Valley Haven for Women, and thirty high school students, funded by the California State Office of Criminal Justice Planning. The students joined forces and participated in over 100 hours of Peer Education Training, acquired skills for positive communication and healthy living preparing them to serve as role models for their communities, and collaborated on the development and performance of this cutting edge play. "The Genesis Project" features an array of hard-hitting, creative, and sensitive sequences including: a powerful opening montage of thoughts on sexual assault; cutting edge commercial breaks for the new and improved "Gender Socialization Boxes" (everything you need to be the perfect male or female stereotype); a down-to-earth radio talk show with informed and not-so-informed call-in guests providing humor and reality; audience participation infommercials featuring "Venus, Goddess of Love, at 1 (800) SEX-MYTH"; and more. Laced together with in-your-face dance breaks, we also see emotional scenes depicting real-life accounts from rape, date rape, incest and sexual assault survivors. The comic relief is provided by the reoccurrence of the Safety Dancers, an out-of-touch foursome with over-choreographed cheers which "teach" awareness and safety.
Creating a new beginning for young people who want to make a difference, The Genesis Project is now available to be licensed as a complete Sexual Assault Education and Prevention Program or singularly as a powerful play with music and dance performed by teens, for teens. Students today need to feel empowered to make healthy choices and they need the facts to make those choices. The Genesis Project presents facts and ideas in a positive, accessible manner in an effort to give young people a voice and a choice.

To smoke or not to smoke? That is the question. "The Tobacco Road" is the answer. In this powerful, timely, multi-media presentation, students meet a young person (scripted to represent a community's target demographic) faced with important decisions about tobacco use.
Terry has heard a lot of talk about the dangers and the risks associated with tobacco use from her parents and teachers - she's also heard about tobacco from the media, and now her body is getting into the act. From the offices of the "Pleasure Tobacco and Candy Company" to the warm security of a mother's womb, join Terry and a dynamic cast of characters as you take a fantastic journey through her mind and finally, through her heart.
Fight back with Together Tobacco Free
Two-time winner of the American Public Health Association Award for "Excellence in Innovative Programming and Partnerships in Health Education", our Tobacco Education & Prevention Program puts a special emphasis on the tobacco industry's attempts to manipulate kids into smoking. It speaks to students on their own level and gives them the facts they need to make informed choices about tobacco use, without preaching a particular course of action. Originally funded through the California Department of Health Services, The Tobacco Road reached over 250,000 students between 1990 and 1995.
This program comes complete with script, score, pre-recorded music on CD or cassette, accompanying video for interactive playback, and complete learning tools for the actors in the production and those experiencing it. Teachers will be especially pleased with the in-depth guides for pre- and post-performance use in their classes as they work with students to create their own media campaigns against targeting smoking at students.
